Home Workout Bagger

Hey guys!! Whats going on, I'm hoping everyone out there is staying safe during this crazy time of corona virus going around but I'm hoping that also will give you guys some extra time to try out my home workout that I have set up for today. I have strength component again for today plus a home conditioning workout that should push you to the limit.

So, here it is:

Strength:

10 sets of 10 reps

Barbell Back Box Squat

(same weight each set)

Conditioning:

15 min AMRAP

5 pull-ups

5 push-ups

5 hands to toes

5 burpees

These exercises will push your body to the limit today. The squats are meant to generate stride power and by pushing yourself to do 100 reps of the heaviest weight you can do that at, it will push your muscles to grow and make your stride more explosive and powerful. Next, we have the conditioning. I made this workout up myself and was forced to do that because I needed to stay inside and do a home workout. I tried out this workout and it is really tough if you push the pace through the whole 15 minutes. Don't allow yourself to have long breaks unless you desperately need one. Its meant to raise the heart rate to a high level to increase your cardiovascular system.

As for nutrition today I will be talking about an essential part of your diet, which is carbohydrates. Carbs have been commonly categorized by people as the reason why they may be over weight, but a common misconception about carbs is that they are essential for athletes because you need a source of energy to fuel your activities. Also, if you are completely cutting carbs out of your diet, then there is a chance that your body may want to shut down and go into survival mode in which your body will begin to hold on to fat because it thinks you need it for survival. So, basically I would recommend that you still have carbs in your diet and that they should be monitored or tracked to make sure that you are not over indulging in them either.

Have an awesome day and go check out my Instagram and Facebook pages both called @russellhockeytraining
