Hey guys!! Today we are going to be going over a mixed workout that involve a lot of chest and core. The reason I chose to do this workout is to give the legs a small break from yesterdays workout and focus on some explosive chest movement and core exercises.
Workout #2
Strength:
10 Sets of 10 Reps:
Dumbbell Bench Press
Russian Twist
Conditioning:
20 min Bike Ride at 80% speed
The chest movement is great because it is an explosive movement and its a great movement to build strength in your chest and arms and shoulders. Russian Twist is a good core exercise because it works mostly on the obliques which is good for twisting and stabilizing during twist motions, but also it is an exercise that should elevate your heart rate while you are performing it which is good for muscular endurance. The conditioning today is a bike ride at 80% for 20 minutes straight which is helping to build your cardiovascular system. While yesterday was more of a sprint conditioning, today's bike ride is more focused on being able to build stamina in your legs and increase your cardiovascular system. The best way to test yourself is to set a speed for your ride and try and stick to that speed or higher for the whole 20 minutes.
As for nutritional advice today, I am going to focus on what you should fill your diet with and why you are not seeing results as much as you would like. So for what you should include in your diet it can be broken down very simply. If you are already taking my advice and tracking your calorie intake then their is an easy way to track what is called "Macros" as well. Your macros is based off of Protein, Carbs, and Fat. Your body will have a different set macros for the best results then others people, but you can find a free macros calculator online to find what your suggested macros should be and it will also be tailored to your fitness goals. By tracking your macros you are able to make sure your body is getting enough protein, carbs, and fat which is essential for burning fat and also building muscle. Give this a try and let me know how it goes for you, but for now that's all I am going to leave you guys with. See you soon everybody!!
